On 24 February 1991, nineteen young members of the Kuwaiti resistance were surrounded in a house in Qurain. The house, kept as it was after the battle, is now a museum.

Members of the Messila resistance group were meeting in houses in Qurain when an Iraqi patrol discovered them, days before liberation. Iraqi troops brought in tanks and surrounded the house; the fighting lasted around ten hours. Twelve of the nineteen men were killed, and the seven survivors hid beneath the rubble.

The museum, opened in 2003 by Amiri decree, preserves the house of martyr Bader Al-Aidan with its bullet holes and tank damage, alongside weapons, documents, a library and a cinema telling the story of the occupation and resistance.
