On the Fahaheel seafront, fishermen carry their catch straight from the boats into a traditional fish market; next door, Al Kout Mall adds a waterfront promenade and fountains.
The Fahaheel fish market is one of the most important in Kuwait, supplied directly from the wharf. The shrimp season, which starts in late summer, is the busiest time of year.
Al Kout Mall, opened in February 2005, has a waterfront promenade, restaurants and fountains that put on an evening show, making Fahaheel a good end to a day in the south.
